Astros Vs. Pirates: Houston Looks To Keep Playing Spoiler

One of the few things that the Houston Astros can still do with their lost 2012 season is play spoiler to those still in the playoff races, and they landed a blow to the Pittsburgh Pirates by defeating them on Monday. They'll get two more chances as well, starting Tuesday with Game 2 of the series.

Houston fans will see a familiar face on the mound for the Pirates, as Wandy Rodriguez is slated to start. Rodriguez (9-13, 3.86) is not having his best season but is still putting up quality numbers for a Pirates team that is very close to contending. Houston will counter their former star with Jordan Lyles (3-10, 5.46), who will be seeking his second win in three games after a long streak of nothing but losses and no decisions.

The game will be at 6:05 p.m. CT at PNC Park.
