BMW Championship 2012: Leaderboard Tied Up At Top With Thursday Nearly Over

Some great golf has been played so far at the 2012 BMW Championship on Thursday, leading to a logjam at the top of the leaderboard as the first round nears its end. Rory McIlroy, Webb Simpson, Bo Van Pelt and Graham DeLaet are tied for first place at 8-under, while tournament favorite Tiger Woods is right behind at 7-under, just a stroke behind.

Texas native Bob Estes is currently tied with several other golfers for 34th place at 2-under, though he still has a hole to play before his day is over. Meanwhile, Texas A&M alumnus Ryan Palmer is right in the thick of things at the top, a spot behind Tiger Woods in sixth place, tied with Vijay Singh at 6-under.
