Astros Vs. Reds: Houston Tries For Two In A Row Against Cincinnati

The Houston Astros play the middle game of a three-game weekend series on Saturday night against the NL Central leading Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.

Houston pulled out one of its best wins of an otherwise rough season in the first game of the series when Matt Dominguez hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning off of Cincinnati's stingy closer, Aroldis Chapman, to push the Astros to a 5-3 win.

The Astros will try to build on that positive momentum when the give they ball to starting pitcher Bud Norris (5-11, 4.80 ERA) on Saturday. The right-hander took a no decision in his last start, also against the Reds, when he gave up just three hits and no runs in six innings on the mound.

The Reds will counter with veteran right-hander Bronson Arroyo (11-7, 3.76 ERA). Arroyo has been strong down the stretch for the Reds with no losses in his last five starts, which include a no decision in his last outing when he gave up three hits and one run in six innings against the Astros.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:10 p.m. CT.
