Huston Texans free safety Glover Quin is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and while he remains optimistic about returning to Houston, there is still a very real possibility that he will move on. The Texans have a long list of free agents, and while Quin likely remains a top priority for the league's seventh-ranked defense, there will be other teams calling.

If that happens, Houston could have options for finding his replacement, including the top safety in this year's draft. Safety Kenny Vaccaro could be moving from Texas to the Texans, or at least he projects to according to Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft. In his latest mock draft, Kadar had this to say about Houston selecting Vaccaro with the 27th overall pick:
Even if Glover Quin is brought back, Vaccaro is the best safety in the draft this year and could be a star as Houston's free safety. He can cover and hit, and will be forced by coordinator Wade Phillips to play with more discipline.
So even if Quin was re-signed, Vaccaro could still be an integral part of the defense, both in the present and the future. And he wouldn't even have to move out of state.
