The Minnesota Golden Gophers will face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a Big Ten-Big 12 clash on Friday night.

The Red Raiders finished 7-5 for the season, but just 4-5 in Big 12 play. The Golden Gophers were 6-6 overall and 2-6 in the conference, second to last in the Big Ten Legends Division. Their big win came early in the season when they knocked of Syracuse out of the Big East. Texas Tech's highlight this year was beating West Virginia and TCU, who were both ranked at the time, in back-to-back weeks.

But Houston won't have the only Texas bowl game this weekend. San Antonio will host the Valero Alamo Bowl on Sunday, where Texas will play Oregon State. The Longhorns' eight wins came on a pair of four-game win streaks, while Oregon State split its last six games after winning its first six.

The Houston Texans lead the Indianapolis Colts, 20-10, at halftime of their game in Houston, Texas.

After an eventful final few minutes of the quarter, the Houston Texans now own a 20-10 advantage over the Indianapolis Colts going into halftime in Houston, Texas.

The Texans led, 10-0, after the first 15 minutes, then each team connected on a field goal to get things started in the second quarter. First, Adam Vinatieri knocked one down from 26 yards to cut into the Houston lead.

But the Texans answered right back. Shayne Graham made his second field goal attempt of the game, this one from 35 yards out with just under four minutes to play.

With the score 13-3, the final two minutes of the half provided plenty of excitement. Indianapolis failed to score on its next possession and tried to punt it away, but Bryan Braman blocked the attempt and returned the ball eight yards for what looked like a momentum-swinging touchdown. The Texans led, 20-3, at that point and looked like they might coast into halftime.

Andrew Luck had other ideas. The Indianapolis quarterback hit T.Y. Hilton with a 61-yard touchdown pass to answer right back and make it 20-10 at halftime. Luck is just 7-15 passing, but his one touchdown throw came at a critical time.

Matt Schaub connected with Andre Johnson on a three-yard pass for the big blow of the first quarter and the Houston Texans lead the Indianapolis Colts 10-0 after 15 minutes of play.

In a game between two likely playoff teams, the Houston Texans have jumped out to a 10-0 lead over the Indianapolis Colts after one quarter in Houston.

The big blow came on a 3-yard touchdown pass from Matt Schaub to Andre Johnson just under the five-minute mark. That 13-play, 57-yard drive made it 10-0. Houston's first three came on a 27-yard field goal from Shayne Graham on the game's opening drive.

Through one quarter, Schaub has made quick work of the Colts' defense. He is 7-9 passing for 99 yards, including the touchdown. Arian Foster is the only Texan to pick up any rushing yards. He has 27 yards on nine carries.

Offensively for Indianapolis, however, there is not much going on. The team has picked up just three first downs and 11 total yards. Quarterback Andrew Luck is 1-f5 for 15 yards and Vick Ballard has rushed for 20 yards on five carries.

The Houston Texans cruised through the first half of their game against the Tennessee Titans and are up, 21-3, at halftime.

In what some might view as an AFC South division mismatch, the Houston Texans (10-1) are up, 21-3, over the Tennessee Titans (4-7) at halftime of their game Sunday in Nashville, Tenn.

The first-place Texans jumped out to an early lead with two touchdowns in the first quarter. The first came less than three minutes in on a 54-yard pass from quarterback Matt Schaub to Lester Jean to set the tone early. Schaub finished the half 15-of-24 passing for 167 yards. Andre Johnson is the game's leading receiver so far with 56 yards on five receptions.

After a Tennessee field goal from Rob Bironas, Schaub threw for his second touchdown of the afternoon, this one a five-yarder to James Casey to make it 14-3 after a quarter.

The only offense of the second quarter came when linebacker Tim Dobbins intercepted a pass from Titans quarterback Jack Locker and returned the ball to the Tennessee 3-yard line. Arian Foster took care of the rest with a short run to make it 21-3.

Locker is just 8-of-22 going into halftime, and while the teams are even at 55 yards apiece on the ground, Houston has a 167-89 edge on passing plays.

Johnny Manziel threw for three touchdowns and rushed for two more to lead Texas A&M past Missouri and strengthen his case as this year's Heisman Trophy frontrunner.

With just one week left in the college football regular season, it looks like Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel might be the frontrunner to take home football's biggest individual prize.

The Heisman Trophy contender completed 32-of-44 passes in the Aggies' win over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, good for 372 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for two more scores.

For the season, Manziel has thrown for 24 touchdowns, compared to just eight interceptions. He is averaging 8.55 yards per attempt.

But while Manziel might be the top candidate, Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o will now be leading his team into a National Championship Game in January. The Fighting Irish beat USC, 22-13, on Saturday, and Te'o had five tackles and an interception.

On the side opposite Te'o on Saturday, USC wide receiver Marqise Lee did his best to stay in the Heisman hunt. He had five receptions for 75 yards in the loss. However, the sophomore also set a team record with 112 catches this season. If he does not win the Heisman, Lee is also a candidate for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the nation's best receiver.

It was just a regular season game, but it didn't seem like one when the Texas A&M Aggies arrived home after knocking off No. 1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Fans were waiting as the Aggies rolled back on to campus.

As the Texas A&M Aggies rolled back into College Station late Saturday night after taking down the No. 1 team in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Aggies were greeted by hordes of fans celebrating the victory.

The 12th man cheered as the team bus arrived back on campus following the 29-24 road win, and head coach Kevin Sumlin took the microphone to thank them for their support. Then, after getting the crowd fired up, he turned the mic over to senior wide receiver Ryan Swope.

"I just want to thank you guys for all you guys do," he said. "I cannot say enough good things about this 12th man."

Swope finished the game against Alabama with 11 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown.

With the Aggies at 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the SEC, they are still very much alive in the race for the SEC West, however a berth in the conference title game would take at least one more loss from Alabama.

But that's probably not on the minds of the Texas A&M players or fans, who are still reveling in the huge win. Swope ended his speech by yelling to the crowd, "we beat the hell out of them!"

The roar that followed tells you plenty about how much the fans are enjoying it right now, not worried about the weeks to come.

Houston improved to 7-1 on Sunday, as the Texans defeated the Buffalo Bills, 21-9.

The Houston Texans scored two second-half touchdowns to pull away from the Buffalo Bills on Sunday en route to a 21-9 win at Reliant Stadium.

Quarterback Matt Schaub threw 19 of 27 for 268 yards, including two touchdowns.

That first touchdown came with time winding down in the first quarter. Schaub found Owen Daniels for the 39-yard reception to make it 7-0.

The Bills answered back in the second quarter to cut their deficit to 7-6 at halftime, courtesy of a pair of field goals from Rian Lindell. That second field goal came following a sack of Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick with the Bills at Houston's 14-yard line.

Clinging to the advantage at halftime, Houston got on the board again less than three minutes into the second half when Arian Foster trotted in from three yards to give the Texans a 14-6 lead. Garrett Graham caught a five-yard pass in the fourth quarter to provide the final touchdown of the game and seal the victory.

Fantasy studs and duds: Foster stole the show in this one. He had 111 yards on 24 carries, including that third-quarter touchdown. C.J. Spiller, meanwhile, did not have his best game for the Bills. He rushed for just 39 yards, well below his season average.

Injury info: Buffalo cornerback Aaron Williams hurt his right knee in the third quarter and was taken out of the game. According to Bills reporter Joe Buscaglia, Williams was seen on crutches in the locker room after the game.

Did they cover?: The Texans came into the game favored by 11 points, so they covered, but just barely.

Next on the schedule:

Nov. 11, 1 p.m. ET : Buffalo at New England

Nov. 11, 8:20 p.m. ET: Houston at Chicago

The Texas Longhorns defeated Texas Tech, 31-22, on Saturday, and fans found plenty of reason to be happy, including the team's play in the red zone on both offense and defense.

With their 31-22 win over Texas Tech on Saturday, the Texas Longhorns have won three in a row and now have their first win over a ranked team this season.

The Longhorns improved to 7-2 on the year, thanks to two touchdown receptions from Mike Davis and steady play throughout from quarterback David Ash.

But SB Nation's Texas blog, Burnt Orange Nation, heaped praise on its team for its play on both sides of the ball, especially in the red zone, where the Longhorns have struggled this year.

No, the instructional takeaway was the impressive red zone performances by the Longhorn offense and defense. Both Texas Tech and Texas entered the game ranked abysmally in the defensive red zone at 118th and 121st respectively. The much maligned Texas defense had been giving up scores at a 94.29% clip.

Burnt Orange Nation pointed out one defensive play in particular that stopped the Red Raiders right as they were threatening.

After a nice pick up of 4 yards on first down, the Red Raider offensive coordinator took the ball away from his hot handed quarterback and went back to his star back Williams out of the pistol formation. Longhorns cornerback Quandre Diggs is playing tight man coverage on the LOS, sniffs the play, rushes from the edge to not only blow up the hole but also make the tackle.

Next up, the Longhorns host Iowa State this coming Saturday to kick off their final three games of the season. The regular season concludes in Manhattan, Kans. against unbeaten Kansas State.
