Astros Continue To Rake In Votes. Note: Title Is Somewhat Exaggerated

On Monday, Buster Posey was named the NL Rookie of the Year.

Such a result was expected. He lead his team to a World Series victory, and he put up good numbers. Thus, he gets the ROY trophy.

↵

I'm okay with him winning the award, however, I'm not okay with Chris Johnson getting overlooked yet again. Johnson was outvoted by Posey, Hayward, and Jaime Garcia--all understandable.

↵

But someone riddle me this--how does Johnson not get a single vote? Jose Tabata, Jonny Venters, Starlin Castro, Neil Walker, Ike Davis and Gaby Sanchez all received votes. And Johnson had a better year than most--if not all--of the palyers listed above.

On a separate note, Brad Mills received some much needed love in the NL Coach of the Year voting. Bud Black took home the prize, but Mills took home 1 first place and 3 third place votes. Maybe that Mills hire wasn't so bad after all.
