Eighth-Inning Rally Falls Short As Astros Rack Up Another Loss

Final Score: Baltimore 6, Houston 4

Kissimmee, FL (Sports Network) - Zachary Britton threw four scoreless innings and Brandon Snyder went 3-for-5 with a homer and two runs batted in, leading the Baltimore Orioles to a 6-4 victory over the Houston Astros.

Britton allowed four hits, walked two and struck out two, while Snyder added a double and scored two runs in the victory. Robert Andino also had two hits, including a two-run single during a three-run second inning.

Houston starter J.A. Happ was tagged for three runs on five hits and two walks over four innings. J.D. Martinez highlighted Houston's four-run eighth inning with an RBI double and a run scored.

Astros pitching gave up another 14 hits, and their spring record dropped to 5-12. That puts them in last place in both the Grapefruit League, and amongst all National League teams. Houston will have split-squad contests tomorrow against the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves.
