Astros Beat Orioles Behind 17 Hits Despite Sluggish Pitching

Sarasota, FL (Sports Network) – Brett Wallace knocked in seven runs, including a fifth inning grand slam, and finished with four hits in Houston’s 14-8 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Jason Bourgeois also had four hits and scored three times for the Astros, who got two hits from Brian Bogusevic and J.R. Towles while Bill Hall clubbed a two-run shot in the fourth.

Aneury Rodriguez went the first two innings, surrendering a hit and a run. Jordan Lyle got the win, though, pitching two scoreless innings and fanned three batters.

Robert Andino hit a two-run homer and Jake Fox belted a solo shot in the second. Starting pitcher Brad Bergesen was tagged with the loss in four innings of work, surrendering three runs on four hits.
