Kissimmee, FL (Sports Network) - Bud Norris tossed five shutout innings, and the Houston Astros held on to beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-2, in Grapefruit League play.
Norris gave up six hits and recorded five strikeouts.
Houston's Brett Wallace and Carlos Lee both drove in a run in the fourth inning, while J.R. Towles singled home a run in the fifth to give the Astros a 3-0 lead.
St. Louis got on the board in the sixth on Tyler Greene's RBI single, and closed to within a run when Jon Jay's single plated Ryan Jackson with two outs in the ninth. Casey Fien then struck out Alex Castellanos to end the game.
Cardinals starter Lance Lynn allowed two runs on three hits over four full frames.
