Astro Bats Come Alive, But Pitchers Give Up 21 Hits In Loss To Yankees

Kissimmee, FL (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees scored two times in the top of the ninth inning to down Houston, 10-8, in Grapefruit League action.

Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run homer, while Derek Jeter, Russell Martin, Robinson Cano and Andruw Jones each collected two hits in a 21-hit attack for the visitors.

Greg Golson also hit a home run for the Yankees, who saw starter Phil Hughes allow three runs on five hits in his three innings of work.

Carlos Lee and Jason Michaels each went deep as part of a 17-hit afternoon for the Astros.

Brett Myers was charged with two runs on five hits over three frames in a starting role for Houston before Wesley Wright took the loss in the ninth.
