It's a sad time to be an Astros fan, and now even the video games are kicking Houstonians when they're down. The crew at 2KSports has a contest every year to see who can be the first gamer to throw a perfect game in the latest MLB2K version. In this case, MLB2K11. The winner takes home a cool million dollar reward for his feat of skill and exquisite timing. This year's winner used Roy Halladay. The team he played against? Why, the Astros of course. Here's why he picked them:
↵↵↵The strategy Kingrey employed in picking the ideal matchup to pitch his pefect game would even make major league baseball managers proud. He chose to pitch 2010 NL Cy Young award winner Roy Halladay against the Houston Astros. "Halladay has this really mean slider that's incredible versus right-handed batters," Kingrey explained. "I picked the Astros because they're really aggressive when they attack the ball, so they swing at a lot of pitches they probably shouldn't swing at, and the Astros have only two left-handed batters."
↵
He later added "also, they suck."
↵Okay, no he didn't. But it was implied. Sean Pendergast also has a good look at this feat in The Houston Press.
