MLB Bonus Baby Launches Shadow Astros Draft

As an advocate of shadow drafts everywhere, seeing as how I've run one for the Texans for three years now, I'm obliged to bring you this take on the Astros draft from SB Nation community MLB Bonus Baby, which covers the MLB Draft. It looks markedly different from the actual Astros draft, starting at the top where Matt Garrioch selected Sonny Gray over George Springer:

The 1st round was easy, taking the #5 talent in the draft at #11. In the 2nd round, Daniel Norris and Austin Hedges were both available and I didn't think either one would be. I thought about it a little but I had to go with Norris. In the 3rd round, Osich has too much potential to let slide, even with some tendinitis in his throwing shoulder.

In the 4th, Kyle Winkler is the highest rated player, but with 3 pitchers taken and one with an injury issue, I can't see adding another one right now. I'll take a look at him around the 8th if he's still there. Josh Tobias was next. I love his bat but with his commitment to Florida, he'll slide. I'll look back at him after Winkler.

Definitely an interesting take. I prefer Norris to Adrian Houser, but I'm not really a fan of Gray over Springer. Either way, a nice little piece to sink your teeth into if you're an MLB Draft junkie.
