Astros To Hold Caravan, 'FanFest' At Minute Maid Park

Houston's headed for baseball season starting this weekend, with a variety of Astros functions celebrating the 2012 season.

Houston's boys of summer are making an agressive push to announce the arrival of spring - this weekend the Astros will host a variety of events for fans in the greater Houston area before Spring Training begins officially.

  • The Astros' caravan through Texas will wrap up Friday in Katy, Texas at Academy Sports & Outdoors featuring players including Brett Wallace and Jose Cruz. For more details, click here.
  • The team will hold an awards banquet at the Hilton Americas-Houston with a variety of awards being handed out to players and staff members, including Wandy Rodriguez, J.D. Martinez, play-by-play announcer Bill Brown and many more. For ticket information (it's $100 a person, plus group rates for tables), click here.
  • The Astros will also host a FanFest starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Minute Maid Park, featuring a variety of players available for autographs: Brian Bogusevic, Bourgeois, Jason Castro, Chris Johnson, Jed Lowrie, Martinez, Bud Norris, Humberto Quintero and Fernando Rodriguez.
