I have to admit, I am enjoying the new MLB Network game show Baseball IQ more than any new game show since Legends of the Hidden Temple. It's great, filled with baseball questions that are hard but fun to guess and you get to see different personalities from actual major league clubs.
↵Like the Royals guy with a glorious, Ron Swanson-esque mustache. Or the Rangers public address announcer (who lost, though). It's been a fun ride, even if the Astros debut on Thursday night ended with young Ben losing to a Diamondbacks guy who seemed a little d-baggy.
↵Which is sad, but not unexpected. Young Ben is just that, young. He missed some of the questions just because he didn't have a deep enough baseball history. Still, he did not cover himself with glory as one of the weaker players on the show so far.
↵Still, it's been a fascinating show that I'm definitely addicted to. Even the schedule (two shows a day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) hasn't been that overwhelming. It's just been nice to have a baseball show to while away the evening hours before spring training.
