The Houston Astros overcame a 4-2 deficit to tie the game in the eighth inning on a J.D. Martinez two-run home run. Martinez had a great game for the Astros going 2-for-4, two runs, two RBI and a walk.
That home run sent the game into extra innings before the Miami Marlins won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning on a RBI double by Gaby Sanchez off of Brandon Lyon.
The Astros got off to a slow start when starting pitcher Lucas Harrell lasted only four innings by giving up seven hits, four hits, four walks and four earned runs. Harrell was relieved by David Carpenter, Wilton Lopez and Fernando Rodriguez who combined to pitch six scoreless innings before Lyon gave up the game winning double to Sanchez.
