Houston Astros Vs. Milwaukee Brewers Final Score: Astros Top Brewers 7-5

The Houston Astros avoided a sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Brew Crew 7-5. With the win, Houston also snapped an 11 game losing streak against the Brewers.

Houston starter J.A. Happ did not factor into the decision. Happ needed 103 pitches to get through five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks, but he did strike out eight.

Wilton Lopez (2-0) was credited with the victory after pitching a scoreless sixth.

Chris Snyder knocked home Brian Bogusevic with an RBI single in the seventh inning, putting Houston ahead 5-4. Houston would add another two runs in the eighth inning, as J.D. Martinez plated Jordan Schafer and Jose Altuve with a single. Martinez finished the day 3-4 with three RBIs and a walk.

Jose Veras (2-1) was hung with the loss for Milwaukee. Veras pitched one inning for the Brewers, allowing one run on two hits.
