Astros Vs. Rockies Final Score: Houston Takes Opening Series With 3-2 Win

The Houston Astros improved to 2-1 on the season and take the opening series of the 2012 season with a 3-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

Colorado struck first in the game against Houston starter Bud Norris getting a fourth inning home run from catcher Wilin Rosario to make the score 2-0. Houston answered back in the fourth with a run of its own on a deep double off the bat of Carlos Lee that scored Jose Altuve.

The score would remain 2-1 until the eighth when the Astros tied the game thanks to a throwing error by Jordan Pacheco that tied the game at 2-2. Brian Bogusevic followed with an RBI single to right to give Houston its first lead of the game 3-2.

Norris gets a no-decision after pitching seven innings and allowing two runs and four hits. He struck out eight while only walking two. Wilton Lopez picks up the win and Brett Myers gets his first save of the season.

Juan Nicasio made his return to the mound for the first time since being struck in the face with a line drive last August. Nicasio lasted seven innings allowing one run and five hits while striking out four. Rex Brothers gets saddled with the loss after he allowed three hits in two-thirds of an inning and allowing two unearned runs in the eighth.
