Astros Vs. Cubs: J.D. Martinez Single The Difference In 2-1 Win

J.D. Martinez hit an RBI-single with two outs in the sixth inning and the Astros pitching was able to hold on for the 2-1 win Tuesday night in Houston.

J.A. Happ gave up one earned run on five hits over six innings and picked up the win. The Astros opened the scoring when Jose Altuve hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first. Alfonso Soriano answered with a solo homer of his own in the fourth inning to tie the game.

Altuve was the only hitter on either team to record multiple hits, going 2-for-4. Martinez went 1-for-3. Third baseman Chris Johnson was ejected in the fourth inning after arguing an out play at first base.

Wesley Wright, Wilton Lopez and Brett Myers combined for three scoreless innings of relief, including a perfect ninth for Myers' 11th save of the season.
