Astros Vs. Cardinals Final Score: St. Louis Snaps Houston's Streak 8-1

Houston's five-game winning streak is history but J.A. Happ's career struggles against the Cardinals remain. St. Louis tagged Happ for six runs (5 earned) in five innings as the Cardinals salvaged a game in the three-game set with an 8-1 win.

Allen Craig homered in the first to put the Cardinals ahead 2-0 early. The Cardinals added single runs in the second and third innings and extended the lead to 6-0 on the first of two Tyler Greene home runs on the day in the fourth inning. .

The Astros scored their lone run of the game also in the fourth on a wild pitch from Cardinals' starter Adam Wainwright.

Jose Altuve and Carlos Lee finished with two hits each but Houston was just 1 for 5 with runners in scoring position in the game. Greene led the Cardinals going 3 for 3 with two homers and four RBIs. Allen Craig and Carlos Beltran each had two hits.

Adam Wainwright earns the win allowing one run and seven hits over seven innings of work. Wainwright walked one while striking out seven in the game. Happ takes the loss and is now 2-2 on the season.
