Dallas Keuchel will try and extend the strong performance of Houston's starting pitching of late when the Astros close out a four-game series with the San Diego Padres on Thursday. After Lucas Harrell's shutout on Wednesday, Houston starting pitching have a 2.06 ERA in 70 innings over the last nine games. Harrell's complete game was only the team's second of the season, with Keuchel being the other starter to go a full nine innings. However, the total staff ERA is still among the worst in MLB, at 4.50.
