The Astros begin a three-game series against the Brewers on Friday at Minute Maid Park, coming off the business end of a four-game sweep against the Nationals at home.
On the bright side for the Stros, Milwaukee is one of the league's disappointing teams this season with a pitiful road record (18-33). But on the other hand, the Brewers last road win came more than a month ago in Houston and they'll be looking for another in one of the game's friendliest ballparks, against the game's worst squad.
Not that momentum should be a factor here, but the Brewers also just swept the divisions best team in the Reds, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they are welcoming this matchup in Houston with a chance to extend their winning streak to six games.
The Astros could hand Milwaukee its first 10-game road losing streak in nearly 20 years with a win on Friday night, which means nothing to Houston other than snapping its own losing streak and avoiding another sweep at home.
Let's just see how this goes. Take a look at your probable starting pitchers this weekend:
Friday: Bud Norris (5-9, 5.07 ERA) vs. Mark Rogers (0-1, 5.91 ERA)
Saturday: Dallas Keuchel (1-4 5.60 ERA) vs. Marco Estrada (0-5, 4.13 ERA)
Sunday: Jordan Lyles (2-8, 5.69 ERA) vs. Yovani Gallardo (10-8, 3.79 ERA)
