Astros Vs. Diamondbacks: Houston Tries To Bounce Back In Game Two Of Weekend Series

The Houston Astros host the Arizona Diamondbacks at Minute Maid Park on Saturday night in game two of a three-game weekend series.

The Astros head into the evening having dropped four of their last five games including the series opener on Friday. In the frustrating 3-1 loss to the Diamondbacks, Houston couldn't mount any scoring rallies despite coming up with 11 hits.

RHP Jordan Lyles (2-9, 5.47 ERA) is slated to start for Houston. Lyles hasn't won a game since June 26, but he has pitched into the seventh inning recently, giving up two earned runs in each of his past two starts. Lyles took a loss in his last outing against Arizona on July 22nd when he allowed ten hits and eight runs (five earned).

Arizona is scheduled to start LHP Patrick Corbin (4-4, 3.41 ERA) for the first time against the Astros this season. The left-hander is coming off of a win in his last start when he threw seven innings, allowing just four hits and two runs against the Washington Nationals.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m. CT and will be televised on Fox Sports Houston.
