Astros Vs. Diamondbacks: Houston Moves on After Mills, Looks to Avoid Arizona Sweep

Just hours after manager Brad Mills was fired by the team, the Houston Astros will look to open a new chapter by avoiding a three-game series sweep from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Houston will send Armando Galarraga to the mound for today's game. The right-hander has made just four appearances for the big league club this season, losing his last three starts. He will be facing his former club for the first time this season, having gone 3-4 with a 5.91 ERA in eight starts for the Diamondbacks in 2011.

Arizona will look to Ian Kennedy, who comes into today's game with a record of 10-10 and a 4.35 ERA. Kennedy won four consecutive starts in July, but has struggled of late, losing his last two games. He has yet to face Houston this season.

The Astros fired manager Brad Mills following the team's 12-4 loss to Arizona Saturday. An interim manager has not yet been announced.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 CT, with television coverage on Fox Sports Houston.
