Astros Vs. Mets Final Score: Ike Davis Shines As New York Tops Houston 2-1

Ike Davis hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Houston Astros 2-1. Davis had two of the Mets' four hits, including the first of two home runs in the fourth inning.

Jeremy Hefner allowed one run over eight innings for New York, however it was reliever Bobby Parnell who picked up the win after getting the final two outs in the top of the ninth inning. Wilton Lopez received the loss for Houston after giving up Davis's second homer.

Marwin Gonzalez doubled in the top of the ninth for Houston to tie the game 1-1, scoring Jose Altuve. Gonzalez was ejected later in the inning by umpire David Rackley, for arguing a call at home plate. Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy also left the game in the ninth, with a right shoulder injury.
