Cardinals Vs. Astros Series Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The Houston Astros welcome the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday for a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.

The Houston Astros are coming off their second series win in three weeks heading into Monday's three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Astros lost on Sunday, 8-1, yet are 5-5 in their last ten games and continue to attempt to find some positive momentum heading into the offseason.

While the Astros have a firm hold on the worst record in baseball, the Cardinals come to Houston attempting to hold onto one of the two spots in the National League Wild Card race. St. Louis currently holds a 2-1/2 game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers and won two of three games in Chicago this past weekend.

Probable pitchers for the series:

Sept. 24: Fernando Abad (0-5, 5.11) takes on Lance Lynn (16-7, 3.79) on Monday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CT, with coverage on Fox Sports Houston.

Sept. 25: Lucas Harrell (10-10, 3.89) faces Jaime Garcia (5-7, 4.25) on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CT, with coverage on Fox Sports Houston.

Sept. 26: Bud Norris (5-13, 5.05) takes the mound against Chris Carpenter (0-0, 3.60) on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CT, with coverage on Fox Sports Houston.
