Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) – Ronnie Moss poured in 17 points to power the TCU Horned Frogs to a 79-63 victory over the Houston Cougars in a non-league affair.
Garlon Green netted 16 points for TCU (4-2), which got 11 points and nine rebounds from J.R. Cadot.
Adam Brown tallied 14 points in the setback for Houston (4-2). Alandise Harris and Kendrick Washington scored 12 points apiece for the Cougars, who got 10 points from Zamal Nixon.
TCU led 36-31 at intermission after shooting 51.6 percent from the floor in the second half.
The Horned Frogs made good on only 39.4 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half, but they knocked down 15-of-19 foul shots over the final 20 minutes to seal the win.
Houston turned the ball over 19 times, an obvious contributing factor in the loss.
