Houston-Tulsa Final Score: Cougars Take Control In Second Half, Win 48-16

After a closely fought 13-10 first half, the Houston Cougars came out firing in the second half, blowing their game against Tulsa wide open and winning 48-16.

Houston had 334 yards in the second half to only 111 for Tulsa.

In one of his last chances to impress Heisman voters, senior QB Case Keenum was nothing short of magnificent, finishing the day with an eye-popping statistical line of 33/46 for 457 yards, 5 TD's and no interceptions.

The Cougars defense, meanwhile, held Tulsa's high-powered offense in check. They came up with huge two turnovers in the red zone at the end of the first half and forced the Golden Hurricane's star QB, G.J. Kinne into an ugly 19/38 day for only 198 total yards and two interceptions.

With the win, Houston advances to 12-0 and a berth in the Conference USA title game against a 9-2 Southern Miss team.

The Cougars are now only one more victory from the first BCS bowl berth in program history.
