Houston remains in line for a BCS berth after coming in at No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll for Week 14. The Cougars will face Southern Miss in the Conference USA title game Saturday.
The top of the poll looks like it did last week with LSU and Alabama holding down the top two posts. Virginia Tech leap frogs Stanford and Oklahoma State to No. 3. The Hokies will take on Clemson Saturday in the ACC Championship game. Stanford comes in at No. 4 and Oklahoma State rounds out the top 5.
Following Houston at No. 6 is Oregon, Boise State, Michigan State and Arkansas who drops seven spots to No. 10 after losing to LSU.
Big 12 teams in the poll include Oklahoma at No. 11, Kansas State at No. 15, and Baylor at No. 18.
