Case Keenum is closing in on an NCAA record and the Cougars are leading the Blazers 21-10 at the half. Keenum has thrown for 187 yards in the first half and is right around a 100 yards away from breaking the NCAA's all-time passing record.
UAB jumped on the board first when Jonathan Perry found Patrick Hearn for a nine yard touchdown. Case Keenum and the Cougars came roaring back with a touchdown pass to Tyron Carrier to even things up at 7-7. Houston scored twice in the second, once on a Keenum rushing touchdown and another on Charles Sims one yard touchdown plunge. The Blazers closed out the half with a Ty Long 39 yard field goal to move back within striking distance at 21-10.
Keenum is 21 of 25 for 187 yards and a touchdown. Michael Hayes is Houston's leading rusher with 11 carries for 69 yards. Tyron Carrier already has 10 catches in the game for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jonathan Perry threw for 103 yards and a touchdown for the Blazers.
