2011 Bracketology: Where Do Texas, Texas A&M's Struggles Land Them?

Texas has struggled mightily over the past few weeks, losing three of their last four games, and according to Chris Dobbertean over at SB Nation, they’ve now gone under the second seed line and all the way to a #3 seed. In Dobbertean’s latest bracket, the Longhorns head to the East bracket and take on #14 seed Long Beach State.

Texas A&M is doing some struggling of their own, dropping their last two in a row, and according to Dobbertean they’ve now fallen all the way to the #8 seed line. They’ll go to the Southeast and face Tennessee in the 8-9 matchup for that bracket, if projections hold.

Texas Southern continues to be the projected winner of the auto-bid SWAC conference, and they’re almost universally given a #16 seed and a game in the opening round. In this case, they’d take on Northern Colorado out of the Big Sky.

For what it’s worth, The Bracket Project has Texas barely retaining their #2 seed, and still has the Aggies as a #6.
