Devin Gibson found a wide-open Jeromie Hill with two seconds left on the clock for a game-clinching dunk as the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners rallied to beat the second seeded Northwestern St. Demons 97-96. Gibson paced the team with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Hill added 25 points of his own. Will Pratt led the Demons with 26 points.
Down 14 with 5:39 to go, the Roadrunners went on a 23-8 run to end the ballgame. UTSA was on fire down the stretch, scoring on their last 10 possessions to cut into the lead. On the other end, the Demons hit just two field goals in the last 9:35 of the game.
The Roadrunners will face the winner of the Sam Houston St. Bearkats – Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks game, to commence shortly from Katy.
