Houston Cougars Will Go With Throwbacks At Homecoming

On October 22nd, the Houston Cougars will take on the Marshall Thundering Herd in their homecoming game, looking to (hopefully) continue a run to the Conference USA Championship game. But on their way to success in the future, they'll dip their hat a little to success in the past by honoring the Bill Yeoman days with throwback jerseys.

You can check out what the uniforms will look like here, and Sam Khan Jr. has a black and white photo of them on his blog concerning the same subject.

I like the helmets more than the jerseys. The stretched UH has always looked a little awkward to me in light of how classy and classic the old design looks. I could take or leave the jerseys, but it's still neat of the Coogs to honor times past. Particularly as they look like they might be able to make some memorable moments of their own this season with Case Keenum making a run at the record books.
