It's been a somewhat dismal season for the Houston Cougars football team, but there is still time for them to make a run at the Conference USA Championship Game if the cards fall correctly for them. They don't control their own destiny any more, but they can help out their cause immensely with a couple of wins in November. Their last game, a solid 45-35 victory over the UTEP Miners, put them at 4-4 on the season.
At this point, the only thing on the minds of the Cougars is the showdown between them and East Carolina coming up next on the schedule. When pressed on how he was approaching the month, Cougars head coach Tony Levine said, "One thing I've heard for a very long time is people remember what you did in November and not necessarily the first two months of the season."
Following their match against ECU, they will face a tough finish to the month, including a game against C-USA leading Tulsa the week after.
