UH Cougars Hire Manhattan Construction Company To Build New Stadium

The Cougars are looking to build a new stadium and have decided who they want to do it. The Manhattan Construction Comany, also responsible for Reliant Stadium, Cowboys Stadium and BBVA Compass for the Dynamo, will construct the Cougars new stadium, according to Mark Berman of Fox 26.

"The most valuable thing that we bring to the University of Houston is our experience and our lessons learned from the various sports venues such as Reliant Stadium, Dallas Cowboys, the Apogee Stadium at University of North Texas as well as the Houston Dynamo and BBVA Compass Stadium," said Duane Duffy, Manhattan Construction Company senior vice president-Houston division, in an interview with FOX 26 Sports.

"In my opinion, what's so important for us to help the University of Houston is we're able to take the team that just finished the Houston Dynamo and that team is going to go over to the new U of H stadium almost fully intact.

"That's very important too."
