Houston vs. Rice 2012: TV schedule, game time, spread and more

Despite three straight losses to open their 2012 season, the Houston Cougars enter their first game of the season of Conference USA play as favorites to beat the Rice Owls on Saturday.

While they were able to score 49 points against Louisiana Tech in a 56-49 loss, the Cougars struggled to score points against each Texas State and UCLA. The Owls also played Louisiana Tech and UCLA, and also struggled, losing both games; however, Rice did defeat the Kansas Jayhawks 25-24 to earn their only win of the season.

In their conference opener, Rice came up just short against Marshall, losing 54-51 in a game that required two overtime periods to decide.
