D.C. United Own Goal and Cameron Header Give Houston The Lead

In the span of just over three minutes the entire game between D.C. United and the Dynamo changed, and now the Dynamo lead United 2-1.

The Dynamo tied up the game when Brad Davis scuffed a shot that bounced off a United defender and into the back of the net.

Just a few moments later Geoff Cameron headed in a goal from a set piece, giving Houston a rare lead.

Both goals came against the run of play after a series of substitutions that saw Danny Cruz, Dominic Oduro and Eddie Robinson come on the field for Ryan Cochrane, Joseph Ngwenya and Richard Mulrooney.

D.C. United hasn’t been short on chances, though and has tested Pat Onstad a number of times. Early in the half a D.C. goal was called back for offside but, upon review, was the wrong call.

The Dynamo now have just over fifteen minutes to see if they can keep the lead and break their four-game losing streak.
