After 45 minutes of action in Utah, it is all square a 0-0 between Real Salt Lake and the Houston Dynamo. Both teams have had a number of chances, RSL’s mostly coming in the first few and last few minutes of the half, and Houston’s coming off of set pieces in middle of the half.
The Dynamo have more or less returned to the line-up that was successful a few week’s ago after the tinkering from the past two matches, and that is already paying dividends.
A Few Quick Thoughts
– Corey Ashe has looked very good at left back tonight for Houston. He clearly is Houston’s best option there and has played very well this season there. His runs tonight and passing have been pinpoint and his defending has been solid.
- Brad Davis apparently learned from his performance against Toronto FC; he has looked miles better and more active tonight. His service has been good and his movement, as well as play with Ashe, have made up the bulk of Houston’s offense. Is tonight the night for him to make it 7 assists on the season? Looks like it could be.
- Colin Clark, Lovel Palmer, and Geoff Cameron have been quiet so far. If Houston wants to win the match, these three players need to step up and create chances.
