CONCACAF Champions League: Group Stage Schedule Released, Dynamo Begin Play On Aug. 22

The group stage schedule for the 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League has been released with the Houston Dynamo learning who they will play in their group play. The Dynamo have known for about three weeks that they were in Group 3 and would be facing Olimpia which is from Honduras and FAS which comes from El Salvador.

The CONCACAF Champions League begins on July 31, the Dynamo do not play their first match until Aug. 22.

Here is the Dynamo schedule (all times Central):

Aug. 22 at FAS (El Salvador) 9 p.m.
Aug. 30 at Olimpia (Honduras) 9 p.m.
Sept. 20 vs. FAS 7 p.m.
Oct. 23 vs. Olimpia 7 p.m.

This will be the third trip to the CONCACAF Champions League for the Dynamo They made the quarterfinals in the tournament's inaugural season in 2008, but failed to make it out of the group stages in 2009.

For the Dynamo to advance they must win their group to move onto the knockout stages.
