No stranger to the media, Patrick Patterson has now joined forces with bloggers in the fight against, well, nobody. Nevertheless, we're hoping that Patterson can live up to the media-athlete hype that has been built up in Houston by one Eric Winston, who has been at it for quite a while now.
↵Here's a brief excerpt from Patterson's first blog post:
↵↵↵I've been all settled in Houston for what seems like a while. Yea, it's hot and flat, but I'm loving these palm trees. The people here are great! We've been going all over the place, signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans. I have to be honest though, it was tough at first, being the new guy on the team. I had to start all the relationships from scratch with my new teammates. Luckily, the guys were more than welcoming to us, even the seasoned vets. Yea, I'm talking about you, Chuck. That Wildcat blood runs deep, even in the Pros.

Palm trees. Hmm. Guess the Toyota Center designers can give themselves a pat on the back for that decision. Never thought palm trees would come up in a self-described "This is what I think of Houston" paragraph, but, hey, whatever works, right?
