I was 11 years old when Hakeem Olajuwon changed the way I understood basketball. And God, do I hate him for it.

I was around for pinstripes Hakeem. I was around for his crafty years, and while they were all crafty, I got the piece of the pie that included far less pure athleticism than older folks did. But just in looking at highlights and such, Hakeem Olajuwon is the most insane talent I've ever seen. Absolutely insane. Mind blowing. There will never be another, because despite the fluctuation in the size and athleticism in athletes, The Dream was a natural basketball player. He was the best basketball player of his time, Jordan aside. And because he happened to be playing in Hakeem Olajuwon's body, he turned out to be one of the best we've ever seen. There will never be another.
