The Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Feigen reports that Yao Ming’s injury will keep him out for only a week. The Rockets dodged a bullet with the injury not being worse than it is, the diagnosis is just a strained tendon. It is totally unrelated to the major foot injury that he suffered last season.
Of course, knowing Yao, that can change at any time, and we’ll keep you up to date on the scenario as news breaks. If Yao were to miss exactly one week, his first game back would probably be next Thursday in Toronto to face the Raptors.
