Southwest Division results
Memphis Grizzlies 98, Los Angeles Lakers 96 — Kobe Bryant got his 29 points, but it took him 26 shots as Memphis rookie Xavier Henry shut him down. The Lakers got to the line nine more times than the Grizzlies did, but shot just 43% compared to the Grizzlies’ 48%. Mike Conley had the game of his life, with 28 points, 10 in the fourth quarter, and four three pointers as he torched Derek Fisher.
San Antonio Spurs 118, Golden State Warriors 98 — Garbage time was prevalent in the Bay as the Warriors were downed easily by the Spurs. Seven Spurs reached double figures, including oft-used reserve forward Gary Neal. Stephen Curry and David Lee were both able to contribute big games, but Monta Ellis and Dorrell Wright combined to shoot just 12 for 32 from the floor.
