Morey 'Expects' Aaron Brooks To Play Sunday Against Kings

The Rockets did get some good injury news this week, as during the Fox Sports Houston broadcast, general manager Daryl Morey said that they expect to get reigning Most Improved Player Award winner Aaron Brooks back for their game on Sunday night on the west coast against the Sacramento Kings.

It’s unknown how the Rockets will sort out the situation long-term, as Kyle Lowry has done a very good job of seizing the reins in Brooks’ absence, but for the short-term, look for Brooks to be worked back pretty slowly and come off the bench. If you’re trying to decide whether or not to put him right back into your fantasy lineup, it might be a good idea to hold off and see what kind of minutes he’ll be getting. At least for the first week.

This will probably end the few minutes that Ish Smith has been getting, although he did a pretty good job of that on his own. Look for him to go back to being purely a garbage time player.
