In unsurprising news, Houston Rockets center Yao Ming’s ankle is still not ready for him to play. Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle broke the news on Twitter, adding that he might practice on Wednesday. Clutch of Clutchfans.net notes that according to Yao, the medical staff doesn’t believe his ankle is strong enough yet.
So yes, we are looking at more Yao-less games for the Rockets. The Feigen and Clutch quotes don’t go together very well for me. An ankle probably isn’t going to get strong enough overnight. Ergo, expect more games missed for Yao. Maybe next week things will be better. Or maybe not.
