Rockets Eke Past Nash-less Suns, Keep Pace With Grizzlies

Houston, TX (Sports Network) – Kevin Martin scored a game-high 23 points and Chuck Hayes registered a career-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds, as the Houston Rockets held on for a 95-93 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Kyle Lowry donated 18 points and six boards for the Rockets, who snapped a two-game losing streak and are 8-3 over their last 11 games. Chase Budinger and Jordan Hill had 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Vince Carter dropped 21 points, Josh Childress scored 15 and Marcin Grotat notched 12 points and eight boards for the Suns, who have dropped three games in a row. Grant Hill and Zabian Dowdell each tallied 11 points in the loss.

The Suns were without All-Star guard Steve Nash for a second straight game because of pelvic instability.
