2011 NBA Playoffs: Shane Battier Gets Memphis It's First-Ever Playoff Win

You may remember the Rockets trading Shane Battier at the trade deadline this season for Hasheem Thabeet and a first round pick. Well, uh...at least the first round pick could be good. Either way, Battier hit a deciding three-pointer yesterday as the Grizzlies knocked off the Spurs in game one of their first round series. So needless to say, that was a pretty crazy couple of hours for one of Houston's finest. While I don't think it ultimately changes my original evaluation of the trade for the Rockets, which I think Battier proved by playing just 20 minutes in the game, it's still nice to see him contributing for a playoff team again. Hope that baby doesn't keep you up too late Shane, cause Manu Ginobli would like to schedule some revenge for you on Wednesday.
