Even with the current lockout, it seems that the full 2011-2012 NBA schedule will be released later this afternoon. NBATV will also be airing the release of next year's notable games at 1 p.m. Central, and we're going to be updating you with all of the Rockets' schedule highlights as soon as it leaks.
↵Apparently the NBA is able to release the schedule a couple weeks early because there is no free agency going on right now. Without having to wait to see where the big-time free agents sign, why not release the schedule and give the fans something to talk about during these dire times?
↵If the season begins on time, it's being reported that there will be a Finals rematch between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat on Christmas Day. One of the season-opening games next year will also pit the Mavs against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls.
↵The schedule and its' validity is obviously pending on the fact that a season will actually take place, but let's just hope that the Rockets get some nationally televised games this season. I mean, what else are we going to talk about during the lockout?
