NBA MVP 2012 Power Rankings: Kyle Lowry Has Proven To Be An All-Star This Season

Riding a seven-game winning streak and finally gaining some national respect, the Houston Rockets will have a stern test against a veteran-laden San Antonio Spurs squad on Wednesday night.

One person on the Rockets whose played like a seasoned veteran all year has been sixth-year point guard Kyle Lowry, who was featured on Tom Ziller's MVP Rankings this Wednesday.

7. Kyle Lowry Rockets 16.5 points on .564 TS%, 8.7 assists, 6.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals 10
The Rockets are now reflecting Lowry's genius, riding a hot streak into the playoff seeds. If Lowry and Kevin Martin can carry Houston all of the way into the postseason in Kevin McHale's first full season as a head coach, a whole lot of crow will be eaten around the league.

Those numbers are LeBron-esque, and Lowry's presence in the lineup is proving to be a real difference maker for Kevin McHale and for the rest of the Rockets top players. Kevin Martin's shot selection has improved, Luis Scola and Samuel Dalembert are getting shots closer to the rim and the role players are increasingly involved in the offense.

So NBA fans...can you make this man an All-Star? Its the least you could do.
