Patrick Patterson Would Love To Play With DeMarcus Cousins

New, 1 comment

Thanks to Jonathan Feigen, we find out that Rockets second-year forward Patrick Patterson talks with embattled center DeMarcus Cousins almost every day. The two were college teammates at the University of Kentucky and have remained close since being drafted two years ago.

Of course, the possibility of the two being reunited in Houston is small and getting smaller. Cousins came out after the trade speculation blew up to say he never requested the trade and is hoping to put this unpleasantness behind him. It's good for my fantasy team but bad for the Rockets.

Still, view Patterson's comments in light of that and it appears that Cousins is still unhappy in Sacto, but just biding his time until he can leave town. I wouldn't put it past him to leave sometime this year once the Kings can get fair value in trade.

So much for that day of speculation, huh? It was fun while it lasted, I guess. Maybe now that OKC has lost, we can start the engine up about Russell Westbrook...
