The Houston Rockets dispatched the Orlando Magic 108-92 in Friday's preseason exhibition game, concluding Houston's preseason schedule. The Rockets finished 5-2 overall in the preseason. Jeremy Lin led the Rockets with 13 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Power forward Greg Smith led the Rockets in scoring, contributing 15 points off the bench to go with 5 rebounds.
The Magic were led by second-year shooting guard E`Twaun Moore, who finished with 18 points on 7-12 shooting. Shooting guard DeQuan Jones also chipped in 16 for the Magic. The Rockets held Orlando's starters to a combined 33 points, despite the starting five playing most of the first half.
The Rockets won with a team effort, with six players scoring in double-digits. Center Omer Asik, acquired as a restricted free agent in the offseason, gathered 12 rebounds to go along with 6 points. Rookie power forward Donatas Motiejunas added 12 points off the bench.
